UHV’s revenue in 2013-2014 was estimated at $57.2 million, and UHV spent 49.8 percent,
or $28.5 million, of that total on providing quality instruction for students. Financial
assistance awarded to students totaled $35.1 million, an increase of 45.9 percent from
2009-2010. At public universities in Texas, total enrollment grew 9.9 percent from fall
2009 to fall 2013, while UHV’s enrollment increased 22.9 percent. The university’s
enrollment in fall of 2014 was 4,407. Since its beginning in 1973, UHV has conferred
